Commenting on the decision by Scottish Ministers to approve the Beauly to Denny power line, Liz Cameron, Chief Executive of Scottish Chambers of Commerce, said:
“This is an extremely welcome decision by the Scottish Government. The Beauly to Denny power line is essential if Scotland is to make the most of our enormous potential in terms of renewable energy resources and secure both investment and security of our electricity supply into the future.
“This is precisely the kind of positive action the Government must take to create the right environment for business to flourish in Scotland, and represents a huge step forward for investment in our renewable energy resources.”
