ROCCO 2009

SEARCHING 19000 FOR RENFREWSHIRE’S BEST EMPLOYEE

Businesses and organisations across Renfrewshire are being asked to join a new search to find Renfrewshire’s best employee.

The winner will receive a fantastic trip to Gleneagles and will be presented with a special award.

The search is being co-ordinated by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, which has created a new ‘Employee of the Year’ category in its famous ROCCO Awards, with the 2009 Awards being held on Friday 20th November.

Over 19,000 staff are employed by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce members, and all are eligible to enter.

The new Employee of the Year category, which is sponsored by Rolls Royce, is designed to celebrate the quality of Renfrewshire’s workforce.

“People are the most important asset in any organisation and Renfrewshire has a fantastic pool of talented and committed employees” said Paul Scott, Operations Manager Rolls Royce.  “We are proud to be sponsoring this new award and look forward to celebrating with the winner at the ROCCOs in November”.

Colin Neill of Diageo, principal sponsor of the ROCCO Awards, says:

“Valuing our people is one of our key principals and we are delighted with the new Employee of the Year Award which specifically recognises the importance of staff”.

Tom Johnston, President of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce added: “We would urge Renfrewshire businesses and staff alike to consider nominating someone that has made an outstanding contribution to their business”.
