Shortlist announced for Business Awards

TUESDAY 6TH OCTOBER

28 companies the length and breadth of Renfrewshire have been shortlisted for a ROCCO Award- the prestigious Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce 2009 business awards.

The nine “Oscars” of the local business world will be handed out at a glittering award ceremony on November 20th hosted by Jay Crawford and excitement is rising as the finalists are announced!

The nominees reflect the sheer breadth of business success throughout the county - from small start-ups and individual entrepreneurs to long-established businesses.

Chamber President Tom Johnston said “We have been overwhelmed by the interest in the ROCCO Awards this year, we have received a high number of applications and the quality has been incredible. We know we are facing challenging economic conditions but it is fantastic to see local companies, large and small, buck the trend and continue to expand.

The ROCCOs have grown in popularity over the years, and the Awards Dinner is now the business events of the year. Tickets are selling fast so I would encourage anyone wanting to join us for this glittering event to get their tickets now.

We are now down to the 28 finalists from which the judges must pick the 9 winners….. and it’s going to be tough this year!
