Businesses invited to UWS / Reid Kerr student outreach events

Students interested in Internships & Apprenticeships - Wed 1st Feb 2012

Every year Renfrewshire Community Planning Partnership is organising community planning conferences in order for local people, businesses, community groups and voluntary organisations to discuss the council's community plan and voice their opinions about the design of services being provided. In order to engage with students, the partnership is organising two outreach events which will take place on the 22nd February 2012 at the University of the West of Scotland and on the 28th February 2012 in the Reid Kerr College .  Last year's outreach event was very successful and students evaluated it as a great way to communicate with them. We have been inviting numerous organisations, agencies and charities to come along and provide information and advice to participants. We already had a meeting with students representatives and they identified internships and apprenticeships as areas they are interested in so your help would be much appreciated!

More information about the events:
Time: 12:00 - 18:00 (with Qwizdom and workshop sessions starting at every full hour).
Things happening on the day: information stalls from Council services and community planning partners providing advice on health, council tax, money , Paisley town regeneration, volunteering opportunities, employability, Qwizdom - an interactive question and answers session and Ketso workshop where students will be able to voice their opinion about what's important to them.
Food and refreshments provided at the event.
