Another year of record turnover and increasing staff numbers for HR Services Scotland

Specialist human resources consultant HR Services Scotland has celebrated its fifth anniversary with another year of record sales, increased staff numbers and a predicted 25% turnover increase.

The leading provider of human resources, employment law and health and safety services across the UK is also on course to increase its client list by at least a third, taking its client portfolio to 200.

The Lanarkshire-based provider is enhancing existing products over 2016 and introducing new product lines to consolidate its position as one of the most successful trusted advisers to both small firms and larger corporations across the country.

HR Services Scotland managing director Andy Purdon, who established the firm in December 2000, said: “Each year since launch has seen steady and sustainable growth, which we are continuing to accelerate.”

The company posted sales of £400,000 in the financial year to December 2015, and is projecting £500,000 for 2016, with sector-consistent profits. It is wholly-owned by Mr Purdon and growth has been funded by retained profits.

Its staff complement of 11 will grow to 14 by the spring of this year and to at least 16 by the year end. It boasts 155 retained clients, which it aims to increase to at least 200.

The company, which operates in England, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as well as the Central Belt of Scotland specialises in HR, H&S, employment law and profiling. It has a small, but fast-growing training business.

Mr Purdon said the aims for 2016 included the re-launch of its SME business plan, backed by a professional media campaign, to add to the product and change services to include elements such as training.

HR Services Scotland also plans to generate a bespoke H&S proposal to allow clients to obtain Constructionline accreditation, the vitally important Government-backed pre-qualification scheme. It intends to offer a package which will manage the full process.

The company differentiates itself from competitors by allocating individual account managers to clients. This account manager is a fully trained and highly qualified professional with wide experience who already knows the client’s business and is in a position to spot HR and other problems before they become unmanageable
