Local Business Legends 2008
What is the Local Business Legends competition?
Organised by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Renfrewshire Council and Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire, the Local Business Legends 2008 aims to find the most exciting young entrepreneurs in Scotland today by offering the chance to win a major cash injection for their business or business idea, in one of three different categories.
The categories – Best Young Business, Best New Business and Best Innovative Business Idea, are being funded equally by Renfrewshire Chamber, Renfrewshire Council and Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire.
The £30,000 “Legends Pot”
will be allocated on the merits of the individual business proposals.

Why should you enter?
As well as being in with chance of winning a portion of the £30,000 cash pot!
- The University of the West of Scotland are offering a prize to the overall “Best in the West” winner consisting of a package valued at £10,000 including, if appropriate, their Prestigious Executive M.B.A.
- Reid Kerr College will also provide training packages valued at £2000 to each of the 3 winners.
- £2,000 of business advisory services from accountants Campbell Dallas.
- £1,000 of legal services from MacRoberts
Winners will be announced at our Business Dinner on 28th May at Mar Hall
