Iain is chairman and founder of Graham Technology, established in 1986. Iain has led the organic growth of the business from a local system integrator to the international operation it has now become. Today, Graham Technology spans four continents and is the largest privately owned software company in Scotland, employing over 300 people and competes against global giants.
In 2006, Iain was awarded an honorary Doctorate by Glasgow University in recognition of the contribution that he has made to the Scottish economy and the IT industry as a whole. Through his commitment to people development and innovative technology, Iain has played a sustained and significant role in the successful Scottish software community.
Iain was educated at Glasgow Academy, followed roles in Engineering and has worked in various Managing Director roles since the age of 25.
Iain is a passionate believer in continual learning and his other interests include competitive and non-competitive yachting, aviation, farming and conservation. Married to Sheena for 34 years, Iain has 2 children Mairi and Fiona, who have both been actively involved in the global expansion and development of Graham Technology.
