Campbell Dallas VAT Workshops

Campbell DallasBasic VAT Workshop

Workshop Cost: £130 plus VAT (per workshop)

Campbell Dallas are running a series of workshops focusing on three fundamental areas of VAT. Each of these sessions will address a different topic, ranging from the basic everyday VAT issues to the more complex and specific international VAT.

The workshops provide you with the opportunity to discuss key VAT issues in an informal and interactive environment, and are further enhanced with the use of practical examples and case studies.

Each workshop, held at Campbell Dallas LLP, Titanium 1, King’s Inch Place, Glasgow, G51 4BP, commences at 9.30am generally finishing around 12.30pm. This will be followed by a complimentary networking lunch.

Workshop 1 – Basic VAT

Wednesday 22nd February

The first of these workshops focuses on Basic VAT, and will take place on Wednesday 22 February. This course will cover the main everyday VAT issues in an accounts department including basic principles, time of supply, VAT invoices, recovery of VAT on costs, claiming bad debt relief, overseas goods and services and correction of errors.

Workshop 2 – Land & Property

Wednesday 9th May

The second workshop will cover VAT implications of land and property transactions including construction, reduced rate conversions, listed buildings, sales and leases, option to tax and transfers of going concerns.

Workshop 3 – International VAT

Thursday 10th May

The third and final workshop will cover VAT implications of international transactions including imports and exports, acquisitions and despatches, new place of supply of services rules, statistical reporting requirements, 8th and 13th directive claims.
