Red isn’t just for Christmas – it’s for saving lives too

bhfTuesday 6th December 2011

Red is a common theme at Christmas – it’s hanging from trees, in window displays and on festive dinner tables. But did you know that red isn’t just for Christmas – it’s for saving lives too?

February is National Heart Month and the time of year when we ask everyone to go Red for Heart and raise vital money for us.

So how can you help Paisley Heart Town go Red for Heart?

You could join in Wear Red Day on Friday 24 February. For a suggested minimum donation of £1, you could wear red shoes, a red tie or even dress head to foot in red! You could also turn your desk, office, vehicle or building red.

We also need you to raise money by organising your own activities and events – and it’s really up to you what you do! We have lots of advice and tips in our free fundraising pack. Order one at bhf.org.uk/red or by phoning 0131 555 5891 or emailing scotland@bhf.org.uk

BHF Scotland isn’t just the nation’s heart charity – we’re at the heart of your community too. That’s why we designated Paisley one of our first Heart Towns – so that we can work together to improve everyone’s heart health, and raise vital funds to help us save lives.
