Ingliston Country Club is the latest in a line to join
Scotwest Credit Union’s Select Employer scheme.

 Friday 23rd December 2011

Ingliston Country Club in Bishopton is the latest in a line of Renfrewshire businesses to join Scotwest Credit Union’s Select Employer scheme this year.

The five star estate and equestrian centre joins over 20 Renfrewshire businesses that are offering Scotwest’s services as an employee benefit. Now over 10,000 employees across the area have the opportunity to better manage their finances through direct access to Scotwest’s range of safe, competitive and fair financial services.

In addition to accessing the credit union’s services, employees will have the opportunity to save directly from their wages each pay day, via payroll deduction. Other Renfrewshire businesses already offering Scotwest as an employee benefit range from small to large employers including; Doosan Power Systems, Steel Engineering, Mar Hall, LittleInch Care Home and ChemTech Consultancy.

Rod Ashley, chief executive of Scotwest, Scotland’s largest credit union, said: “We welcome Ingliston Country Club as our newest select employer. It is fantastic to see so many businesses in Renfrewshire join Scotwest giving their employees access to ethical finance.

“The free select employer scheme is viewed extremely positively by employees. The offer of payroll deduction is very popular as it really does help our members save for something special or even just for a rainy day. It also means that they are able to take out loans and repay them, straight from their wages. This method makes it easier for our members to manage their money, especially during these difficult economic times.”Rod Ashley

On joining Scotwest, Ian Maxwell, Manager at Ingliston Country Club said:

“We are committed to offering our customers the very best and believe that the same should apply to our employees. Scotwest has a positive reputation in the area and we very much liked their ethos of putting their members first.”

Alan Watson, Director at ChemTech Consultancy added “Scotwest has been extremely popular since we introduced it to staff earlier this year. The ability to have the money taken directly from their wages has been a great way for them to get into the habit of saving.”
