Young Enterprise Renfrewshire - call for support

Non chamber request - (reaching out to you wearing my Young Enterprise hat - I am on the Board of Young Enterprise Renfrewshire....)

Covering Renfrewshire, East Ren and Inverclyde - YES Renfrewshire - using volunteers from business, it delivers the "company programme" to local secondary schools

This year has been one of our most successful years ever - we have 22 teams currently participating

The teams have to establish a real company, design a real product /service - and trade - not a simulation - it is a fantastic learning opportunity

My role on the Board of YES is fundraising and recruiting Business advisors to help support and mentor the teams (5th and 6th year pupils) - nearly all the advisors are chamber members

Donations are typically around £500 - £1000 and greatly assist with the associated costs of the programme, examples of which are:

- Towards venue & catering at certain events
- Filming / photography / stationery / materials for challenges / promotional materials / marketing
- Start up funds for teams

Smaller donations are of course - still very welcome

The Chamber contributes to the costs every year - and also time via myself (and from other YES Board members / Advisors / school teachers)

Jobs are getting harder and harder to come by, so initiatives like this help to give young people an edge in a safe but real environment to learn real business skills.

Donators - receive a thank you letter / invited to events and acknowledged in the media for their support

If you can financially support YES Renfrewshire, please get in touch - the programme typically costs £3k a year to run.
