Quarriers, one of Scotland’s leading health and social care charities, is getting set for its 25th Noel Lunch fundraiser.
The event, which is celebrating its quarter century, has become a staple in the city’s festive calendar and this year will raise money for Quarriers services that tackle children’s mental health and wellbeing.
Back by popular demand is comedian Fred MacAulay who will entertain guests, as well as hosting the eagerly anticipated auction which is packed full of exclusive prizes and excellent Christmas gift ideas including a Hermes scarf and gloves, dinner at Cromlix with chauffer service, a three-hour flight to see the northern lights, and a speed boat trip across Loch Lomond.
Held at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Friday 7 December, guests will enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival, a three course meal, as well as special entertainment including magician Billy Reid, who will dazzle guests with his magic tricks.
This year, money raised at the event will support the work of Quarriers’ mental health services including Time to Talk a pioneering service which provides specialist mental health support for primary school-aged children.
The long-term aim of this service is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and support families and teachers to feel confident in responding to the needs of children dealing with mental health issues.
Alice Harper, Chief Executive from Quarriers, said: “We are looking forward to our Noel Lunch this really will be a special year as we mark the event’s quarter century. For anyone who hasn’t already got their tickets I urge you to get this organised as it is always such a memorable day.
“This year, the funds raised will go towards Quarriers Time to Talk, a hugely vital service which focuses on the power of starting conversations about mental health at an early age in order to build mentally healthy communities which support young people to achieve their goals.”
The Noel Lunch is Quarriers’ flagship fundraising event and raises vital funds to help the charity continue to deliver its life-changing services. Since its inception, the annual fundraiser has raised in excess of £1.25 million for people supported by the charity.
Tickets for this year’s Noel Lunch are on sale and priced at £50 per person. For more information please email email@example.com
