We are looking for a HR professional to join our Board of Trustees and Staff Governance Committee.
St Vincent’s Hospice is “the little hospice with a big heart”, serving patients with life-limiting conditions, and their families, in Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire. We are rated “Good” across all of our inspection areas by Healthcare Improvement Scotland and we have ambitious plans for both future service development and income generation.
We are looking for a new Trustee who will share our ambitions to sit on our Staff Governance Committee as well as the Board of Trustees.
The time commitment for this role is attendance at quarterly Board meetings, which are held in the early evening, and the Staff Governance Committee in-between. Input will also be required to prepare for committees and to read papers in advance of meetings.
We are looking for someone who is a qualified all-round HR professional with up-to-date ER experience, used to working with small/medium-sized organisations. The perfect candidate will also have a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and be comfortable working with committees and/or boards.
People skills are essential for the role, as is an empathy and enthusiasm for the work we do – providing high quality palliative care and support from diagnosis of a life-limiting condition to end-of-life care to all who could benefit from it. It is not essential that you live within Renfrewshire or North Ayrshire, but a connection with the area is always welcome.
