Sporting fun for all at Renfrew Gala Day

Renfrew Gala Day brought kids, families, and friends together at Robertson Park to celebrate Scotland’s Summer of Sport.

Renfrew residents and community groups were joined by professional performers in a sports themed gala day parade to kick start the celebrations.

Crowds were entertained in the park by local dancers and musicians across two main stages, programmed by Fitzpatrick School of Music and Rachel Elliot.

Alongside the performances, a variety of activities including face painting, football, BMX workshops, circus skills, tennis sessions and rugby activities had enough to keep everyone busy.

There were a variety of stalls and food vendors on site, and the funfair and inflatables ensured there was something on offer for all ages.

Barshaw Gala Day will take place in Barshaw Park on Saturday 20 June.
