BTO Solicitors LLP is proud to sponsor the exhibition and curated events programme accompanying PhotoDalkeith RSA200, a landmark exhibition celebrating 200 years of Scottish photography at Dalkeith Palace, near Edinburgh.

Opening to the public on 22 August and running until 27 September 2026, PhotoDalkeith RSA200 forms part of the Royal Scottish Academy’s bicentenary programme, ‘RSA200: Celebrating Together’. The exhibition brings together historic works, contemporary practice and new commissions, exploring Scotland’s pioneering role in photography and its continuing influence as an art form.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a programme of special events celebrating the connections between photography, art, music and literature. Highlights include Ian Hamilton Finlay: Concrete as an ART FORM (6 September), Ruskin Live (13 September), Orkney Sequence (20 September), and Hill and Adamson: Pioneers of Photography (26 September).

Presented by the Buccleuch Living Heritage Trust in partnership with the Royal Scottish Academy and Studies in Photography, PhotoDalkeith RSA200 is the principal photography showcase within the nationwide RSA200 celebrations. Set within Dalkeith Palace and Dalkeith Country Park, the exhibition combines nationally significant cultural content with one of Scotland’s most distinctive heritage destinations.
