Get ready for a monster weekend in Paisley
Date Posted: 16 Oct, 2026

The countdown is on! In just one week, Paisley Halloween Festival will return to the town centre for two days of spooky family fun and devilishly good entertainment.
Taking place on Friday 23 October from 4pm and Saturday 24 October from 2pm, the free to attend festival will once again transform Paisley into Scotland’s Halloween capital, packed with dazzling performances, glowing light displays, giant creatures and surprises lurking around every corner.
At the heart of the festival is the spectacular Halloween parade, which takes place at 7pm on both evenings.
This year’s Haunted House theme will bring a monster mash of characters and creatures to the streets of Paisley, with Frankenstein, mad scientists, illuminated umbrella monsters, magical sea creatures and more creeping their way through the town. The parade route will once again head along Mill Street to give visitors plenty of options to get a good view of the show.
Visitors can look forward to the return of crowd favourites including Spark! LED Drummers and Uncle Doom and his Organ of Gloom, alongside a host of new attractions making their Paisley debut.
Keep your eyes peeled for the wonderfully wacky Granny Turismo, the majestic Ember the Dragon, and the enchanting roaming worlds created by internationally acclaimed Show Globes.
Across both days, the town centre will be filled with live performances, street theatre and family entertainment, ensuring there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Need to fuel your little monsters? The Big Feed Night Market will be serving up a frighteningly good selection of food from traders based at Bridge Street car park throughout the festival. There will also be some tasty food options at the Cenotaph and Gilmour Place for hungry visitors to enjoy.
The ever-popular funfair will also return to the Lagoon car park and East End Park, bringing thrills for brave souls of all ages.
For those wanting the best seat in the house, grandstand seating on Cotton Street offers fantastic views of the parade, along with exclusive pre-show entertainment from Pete Anderson and Missy Impossible. Tickets start from £15, with family tickets available from £54 for four people. You will also be able to enjoy a delicious baked goodie and hot or soft drink of your choice as part of the package.
There are still some tickets available for visitors who want to enjoy the parade from the comfort of their own seat.
Renfrewshire Council, Events Manager, Pauline Allan, said: ”With only a week to go, excitement is really starting to build for Paisley Halloween Festival. The event gets better every year, and we can’t wait to welcome visitors from across Renfrewshire and beyond for another unforgettable weekend.
