Malcolm Group CEO Andrew Malcolm awarded MBE in King’s Birthday Honours

Andrew Malcolm, CEO of Linwood-based Malcolm Group has been awarded the MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list for services to the transport industry.

Andrew Malcolm MBE, said: “It was a total surprise but a great honour to receive the MBE. I’ve been lucky to do what I’ve enjoyed all my life in transport and been surrounded by some of the best people both internally in Malcolm’s and outside. It’s great recognition for W.H. Malcolm Ltd, who hit the milestone of 100 years in business last year.

“I’m honoured to pick up this award for all those past and present who have made Malcolm’s what it is today.”

Richard Smith, Road Haulage Association MD, said: “On behalf of the board, members and colleagues, I would like to thank you for your longstanding dedication and commitment to the road transport industry and in particular to the Association, which has included services to the Board of Directors, Regional Council for Scotland and Northern Ireland and countless other activities connected with our work and interests.”
