New Date Announced for Free Prostate Cancer Testing at The Malcolm Group
Date Posted: 1 Apr, 2026

The Malcolm Group is proud to support The Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative – a new project which aims to improve diagnosis of prostate cancer and gather important data to shape future screening and treatment.
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men in Scotland. As part of the the new Initiative, any man over the age of 40 can come along for free prostate screening.
If you wish to benefit from this opportunity, an additional date has been announced for screening appointments. You are invited to take a free PSA test at our Heritage Centre, Linwood, on Saturday 11th April.
The testing will involve registering for an appointment and on the day of your appointment a simple blood sample will be taken from you by the independent medical testing team on site during a session that will last less than 10 minutes. There is no physical examination involved. The results of the PSA test will be sent directly and in confidence to you by email within a few days.
Your results will be returned into your registered personal account with the testing service team and you will receive an email informing you that your results have been returned. Please then access your results by visiting www.mypsatests.org.uk and use your email and password which you used when setting up your account.

Samples will be selected across a range of participants in the pilot progamme for research purposes so they can be then tested using additional advanced diagnostic tests to give a more comprehensive assessment of an individual and help identify future options to ensure more efficient and accurate early diagnosis of prostate cancer. This analysis will be undertaken over forthcoming months.
The Initiative is being supported by Scottish businesses in conjunction with the prostate cancer charity, the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust, and leading UK digital diagnostic company, EDX Medical.
