Renfrewshire Net Zero Workforce Development Fund – Free Courses

In partnership with Renfrewshire Council, West College Scotland are delivering the Renfrewshire Net Zero Workforce Development Fund (NZWDF). This funding aims to work with Renfrewshire based SME’s to help build their infrastructure and be able to equip their workforces with the skills and competencies needed to deliver new, or enhanced, net zero services to their business customers. In turn, helping them to meet their Net Zero and sustainability goals whilst maximising the opportunities for participating SMEs to grow their business.
Through a small grant programme participating SMEs will have access to expert training and support from West College Scotland, the courses we think may be of interest to you are as below:
Project Management Fundamentals (2 days)
Open course scheduled for 19th & 20th February 2025

This course can be delivered to clients at their premises either face to face or Via Teams, for a full cohort (up to 12 candidates) to your organisation.
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (2 days)
Dates to be confirmed – Limited places available (up to 3 candidates per company)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (5 days)
Dates to be confirmed – Limited places available (1 person from each company)
The funding runs out at the end of March 2025, therefore dates for the above courses would be scheduled between now and 31st March.
To access the funding, the following 3 key eligibility criteria must be met:
The company must be:
– Small to medium sized enterprise
– Based within the private sector
– Registered address in Renfrewshire council area
