Starbucks reopens at Glasgow Airport Following Major Refurbishment
Date Posted: 8 Apr, 2026

Glasgow Airport passengers can once again enjoy their favourite handcrafted beverages as Starbucks officially reopens after a major refurbishment in the departure lounge.
The revitalised store marks the latest step in the airport’s ongoing upgrade of its food and beverage offering and reflects its commitment to providing passengers with high‑quality, familiar and convenient choices before they fly.
Operated by SSP, a leading provider of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, the refreshed Starbucks brings a significantly improved experience, with an updated design, enhanced seating options and expanded menu availability for travellers throughout the day.
Craig Norton, Head of Retail Development at Glasgow Airport, said:
“We’re excited to see Starbucks return, better than ever. It’s a brand recognised and loved by travellers around the world, and its reopening is another important step in strengthening our food and beverage line‑up. We know our passengers have missed having Starbucks available during the refurbishment, so we’re pleased to reopen the doors.”
“Our bigger, brighter airside Starbucks marks the latest development to our offer at Glasgow Airport, adding to our recently refurbished Burger King and selection of retail and food and beverage outlets,” said Richard Attwood, Director of Business Development at SSP UK and Ireland. “We’re committed to being the best part of the journey for passengers, and we’re sure that this Starbucks will deliver on that promise.”
Located in the departure lounge, the refreshed Starbucks will offer its full range of popular handcrafted beverages along with an assortment of pastries, snacks and sandwiches, ideal for early‑morning departures and late‑evening flights alike.
The reopening forms part of SSP’s wider investment programme across AGS Airports to modernise, upgrade and expand its food and beverage experience for millions of passengers each year.
