About Roar

Roar – Connections For Life Ltd is a Charity providing a flexible range of low-level, low-cost preventative services to over 1100 older adults in Renfrewshire. Their goal is to empower older adults through mental wellbeing and physical ability, so that they can stay active, independent and in-charge. 

They work in partnership with local communities and other organisations to build community capacity, maximising independence and reducing the impact of social isolation and loneliness. 

Local Services are delivered by staff and volunteers, and include Befriending, Falls/Frailty Prevention, Footcare, Health & Wellbeing Clubs, Exercise classes, Digital Support and our Well Connected (Intergenerational Loneliness and Isolation) Project. 

They have over a decade of experience and their highly experienced team works with hundreds of older adults across Renfrewshire. Understanding the challenges of loneliness, social isolation and falls prevention in old age means they can successfully deliver a wide range of services to help with a myriad of ageing issues that have both mental and physical health impacts.
